Russian dream

Bast has received a new editorial from Russia. Light colors, long dresses and drama. Bast asked Kristina Shteynfeld, the photographer behind the story a few questions about surviving in Russia and inspiration.

Can you tell us about the inspiration behind the story? The inspiration was a photo of a jewelry from D&G fashion show.I love vintage style, it is beautiful and when I looked at the photo I was sure it would be great inspiration for the story with a modern bias.

How is it to work and live as a fashion photographer in Russia? Like around the world I guess. It is necessary to work, study and search for new things. Nobody can help you and if you want to become a good photographer you have to work very hard and make everything by yourself. You will not survive if you are lazy!

If you could choose one model to work with who would it be? It is a difficult question. I love how Mariacarla Boscono looks. She is beautiful, light skin, expressive eyes and dark hair. I love it. But I also like different models as Sascha Pivovarova and Cara Delevingne.
