Deutsche Börse Photography Prize 2014
Deutsche Börse Photography Prize is an annual photography price given to a contemporary photographer that has made the most significant contribution to the photography medium in Europe the previous year.
This years winner is Richard Mosse for his project The Enclave, where he documented the landscape and the rebels of eastern Democratic Republic of Congo where 5.4 million people have died since 1998 due to war conflicts. Mosse used a military surveillance Kodak Aerochrome film that was commonly used around the 1940s. The infrared film captures greens in shades of pink and red.
Have a look at the images and see for yourself how amazing and powerful they are. Make sure you watch the video at the end where Richard Mosse speaks about The Enclave.
