A shout out to all Iceland Airwaves festival goers out there! When you are not busy dancing your bootie off you better remember to boost up your energy with amazing food and coffee – Here are Bast’s three favorite places to dine and wine in Reykjavík. Check it out!
One of the best places for the off-venue schedule at Iceland Airwaves is the old biscuit factory Kex (meaning biscuit in Icelandic). Kex combines the finest hostel in Reykjavik, a great restaurant/bar, and a concert venue; creating a unique and energetic atmosphere, in this special vintage industrial environment. Which is always set to fill up pretty quickly, by the various types of both locals and foreigners.
Snaps has always been one of our favourite bistro bars in Iceland! It’s the place you go over the weekend and get something amazing to eat. The location is perfect at Þórsgata 1 and the atmosphere inside makes you want to stay there all day. Don’t forget to try the croque madame!
Bast´s favorite place go for breakfast and lunch in the heart of Reykjavik. Has without a doubt the best coffee in town, and the most delicious bagels to go with it! Try to get a window seat at Kaffitars newly decorated coffee house at Bankastrætid, while window scouting the festival goers walking by!
