Up-&-Coming Creatives no. 09

After going to the Varg PR AW16/17 press days quite a few weeks ago, I got mesmerized by a new brand called Year One Collective. The are a London based brand, and design all their garments and accessories in the Hackney studio. Their fresh color palette and amazing quality fabrics is what caught my eye at first, with their fun use of textures and clean cuts as well. I’ll let the images to the rest of the talking, but also find their brand bio below.

YearOne– is an East London based fashion brand with a quiet approach to Fashion.

Conceptual art, minimalism and counter-culture are a few starting points but we mainly take inspiration from the London streets we cycle through, therefore our aim is to create clothes that exude easiness and somehow become timeless.

We are developing the brand by trusting our instincts, and by trusting that other women are tuned into the same wavelength. We want to make clothes that make people feel again and ultimately make you want to wear them – paired down but never boring.
