Bast has received a new fashion story from the young and upcoming stylist and make up artist, Margrethe Yasmin Kristiansen. Soft and girly editorial with lot of pastels inspired by no other than Stine Goya.
Who are you and what do you do?I am a stylist and a make up artist. I am working with everything from fashion shoots to special effects in movies, using my creativity to paint the human body.....it´s almost like some sort of art-therapy for me.
What is the idea behind the editorial? The idea behind the editorial was to make a soft and girly editorial with a lot of pastels. The designer, Stine Goya, was the main inspiration. We created a soft universe, all the way! Delicious skin, babypink lips, backgrounds in different pastel colors and a minimalistic styling, but with a little edge.
What is the worst thing about being a stylist? The worst thing might be the competition. There is a fine line between drawing attention to yourself, and not stepping on anybody's toes.
Where do you resort online when looking for great inspiration/images? I update everyday on the internet with different fashion sites. I also get a lot of inspiration walking down the streets, letting all the impressions in -moods, street-styles, raindrops, sounds and so on.
When you really want to party, which song do you put on? "Work it out" by Beyonce, this song has been with me from the release, and it always makes me in a good mood, wanting to dance and sing it out loud.
